For the last seven years, you've watched me take bare land and turn it into a place where husky rescue happens every single day. Together we've saved more than 2,000 dogs, built cabins, fenced yards, a dog park, a spay and neuter clinic, rescue facilities, a future home for a USA BMX track, and more than 20 structures that stand today because people believed in the vision and decided to help me build it.
 
Now I'm asking for help with the least exciting part of the entire project, but probably the most important.
 
Infrastructure.
 
The drainage. The utilities. The roads. The things nobody gets excited about, but the things that determine whether this becomes everything I know it can be.
 
If you've followed me for any amount of time, you've probably heard me say that rescue doesn't work the way people think it does. We save dogs. That's not the problem. The problem is that we're constantly trying to save dogs inside a system that survives on urgency. There's always another fundraiser, another emergency, another dog that needs help tomorrow.
 
I've spent seven years figuring out how to rescue dogs.
What I've been trying to figure out is how to make rescue truly sustainable.
Because the reality is, if I can't figure out how to make rescue more sustainable than it is today, I don't want to spend the next twenty years fighting the same battle by myself.
I know I can rescue dogs one at a time. I know I can downsize, focus on spay and neuter efforts, help the occasional dog in need, and continue doing rescue on a smaller scale. There's nothing wrong with that path, and there are a lot of good people doing exactly that.
 
But that's not the vision you've watched me build for the last seven years.
I believe we can do more than that.
I believe we can create something that allows more dogs to be saved, more families to be helped, and more stories to be told than I could ever accomplish alone.
 
Most people can't fund a $250,000 project. No matter how much they love their favorite husky rescuer. 
 
But maybe 100 people can.
And if there are 100 people out there who believe in what we've built together and where we're headed next, I think we can create something that saves far more huskies in the future than I could ever save on my own.
